The Brumby's coralled

The premier John Brumby should wonder hard at why he found himself in The Stockade yesterday . Did He not pick up this particular mantle from those who threw it down in a rush ?
Its pretty obvious to us regional people why Brumby became a prisoner. Its called abandonment ; abandonment of common sense ; abandonment of proper resource management planning policy ; abandonment of those of us who don't just talk regional interest, but live and work here and know how the incumbents have been wrecking it - and offering simple tokens instead of substance in water balance matters .
Brumby may have done well as Treasurer and Regional interest man , but a bookkeeper, it must be understood , sees only 2 dimensions, and often only 2 columns of the one page at that .
Time we had leaders in the big picture matters of environment and health, who could get beyond mere accountancy to true accountability .
Maybe one day even Bracks will realise what a mess his managers have made by allowing his Mr Thwaites to draw pretty 2 dimensional pictures of Supernatural Expectations when all the real problems are 3 dimensional and the constituency still believes in a fair go for every one of them !
