Like podger I have no sympathy for polys who cultivate people with their own predjudices. They build the crap level in government to the levels we now see. Full of far sighetd engineers who think water conservation is about piping and plumbing; who instead of talking eco science and risk managemnet, talk expensive engineering solutions to everything maybe thwaites was never a convert to eco science ( maybe he doesn't know what it is?) -
what else explains his strange alliance with Turnbull over engineering solutions to everything ---desalination and pipe projects that will never be used - even if we end up paying for them. Who indeed will be so blessed as to benefir from them . good eco conservationists always consult in depth with economists before they open their mouths! part of wholistic approaches to ecoscience.
